A Message from the Composer
This piece is my very first Orchestral work to come to fruition. The idea was for this concerto to serve as a quick showman’s piece that demonstrates virtuosity on multiple percussion instruments in quick succession. Each instrument embodies a different mood and tone. As the piece moves forward, you are introduced to each instrument and a unique tone is established in each. As the work continues, they become more intertwined until all three areas are used in one pinnacle point. This, to me, describes how all of us are a combination of so many experiences, opportunities, and choices. You are a culmination of everything that you have been through and there is so much that makes us who we are today. I hope you enjoy this work and can see a little bit of yourself in it.
